Dana Bala will discuss how cookbooks, recipes, Grandma’s recipe box, and the treasured community cookbook affected family life, the community, and American culture from the 1870’s-1960’s. Dana will have vintage cookbooks, utensils, and aprons for show and tell. Dana has presented at historic sites throughout NJ, such as the Abraham Staats House, the Miller-Cory Museum, and volunteers at Washington Crossing Park. Her other areas of interest/expertise include embroidery, textiles, and genealogy.
